From Lawal Sa’idu Funtua, Katsina

Unrepentant armed bandits in katsina and other neighbouring states have been urged to surrender themselves to the peace initiative agreement or face the wrath of the law.
Similarly, they have been advised in their own interest to release all captives in their domain unconditionally before Thursday, this week.
Governor Aminu Bello Masari gave the warning yesterday, while addressing newsmen shortly after a meeting held in katsina.
Masari represented by Alhaji Mustapha Muhammad Inuwa, secretary to the state government, SGS, said enough is enough.
He said government will no longer waste it’s precious time sitting with them over same issues again, stressing that, government has done the needful, it is now left for the unrepentant bandits to reciprocate such gesture.
“All kidnapped victims must be released unconditionally before Thursday this week or the Army will be left with no option”, he said.
According to him, “enough is enough, failure to cooperate with the security agencies and the Army, automatically means they would have to blame themselves for whatever happens to them”.
He enjoined them to stick to the agreements reached at the meeting, advising them, to call their subordinates to surrender all arms and ammunitions in their possession to government or the security agencies nearer to them.
“Peace must be allowed to rein supreme in the state and other neighbouring states, failure would result to head on confrontation with the might of government”, he maintained.
