Governor Bello Muhammad Matawalle of Zamfara State has been presented with the Award of Excellence by the Kwarrafa Reporters in Abuja.
In a statement by the Press Secretary to Governor Matawalle, Comrade Jamilu Iliyasu Birnin Magaji, the award was presented to the Governor at the 3rd- year Anniversary Award Ceremony and launching of the Kwarrafa Reporters magazine held at NBC Century House, Lusaka Street Wuse Zone 6 Abuja.
Governor Bello Muhammad Matawallen Maradun was presented with the award as the Governor of the year on security based on his commitment to ensure the restoration of peace and tranquility in Zamfara State and beyond within shortest possible time.
Matawalle, who was represented at the occasion by his Special Adviser on Media Malam Zailani Baffa assured unreserved commitment towards sustaining the peace so far achieved in the state.
Other awardees includes: President Muhammadu Buhari who was presented with political icon of the year Award, Minister of Power Engr Saleh Mamman as the Minister of the year, Senator Emmanuel Bwacha as the Senator of the year.
Others are Senator Dino Melaye as the Man of the year, and Malam Garba Shehu, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity as the Excellence Man of the year.
Among the awardees also were, the Director General National Broadcasting Commission NBC Malam Modibbo Kawu as the media Transformation of the year Award, Gwammaja Farms and investment amongst others.
