A businessman based in Gwagwalada Area Council in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mr. Samuel Augustine, has called on the FCT Minister of State, Hajiya Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu to deem it necessary to monitor the area council Chairmen of the monthly allocations given to them by the Federal Government over the Projects execution.
Augustine, who made the call in an interview with Peoples Daily Correspondent on Saturday in Gwagwalada, urging the Minister to deem it fit to embark on tour to the area councils in order to ascertain on the developmental projects being carried out by the council chairmen.
He expressed dismay the manner at which the council chairmen were diverting monthly allocation to enrich themselves, charging the minister to take proactive measure against any council chairman who failed to execute meaningful projects.
He noted that most of the council chairmen had failed to carryout people’s oriented projects at their respective area councils, while calling on the minister to always monitor them vividly.
The business tycoon therefore, appeal to the minister to focus on the grassroots development, as the area council chairmen were doing nothing there.
