The Muslim League, for Accountability (MULAC) has demanded an unreserved apology from the yoruba Socio-Cultural association, Afenifere over a report credited to the group by Sahara Reporters.
This was contained in a statement by the National President, Yusuf Yakubu Arrigasiyyu and made available to media in Kaduna, Yesterday.
The statement stated that Afenifere, whose statement was what Sahara Reporters claimed to have reported in the story, should offer an unreserved apology and desist from making an unnecessary comparison between miscreants and globally respected Prophet Muhammad SAW henceforth.
“It is outrightly condemnable, the headline of Sahara Reporters, comparing Sunday Igboho who was on a mission of disintegrating, causing disunity and disharmony amongst Nigerians and whose lawless and illegal actions can never be compared even with the actions of any peaceful Nigerian Muslim, not to talk of our beloved prophet Muhammad SAW.
“The question that remains unanswered is why was it that only Sahara Reporters, as a newspaper or media station broke the news of the statement made by Afenifere and not other newspapers?.
