The leadership of Muslim Forum for Orphan Empowerment on Sunday doled out N30,000 to 5 widows during the general meeting of the forum which took place at the mini campus of the University of Abuja.
In an interview with newsmen, the National Ameer of the forum, Mallam Bashir Nuhu Gamagira, said the plan is underway to erect orphanage home for the benefit of the less privileged in the society.
He also said the leadership of the forum would continue to put smiles on the faces of orphans, widows as well as the less privileged, pointing out that the forum had done a lot in terms of its responsibilities.
Gamagira, however, expressed joy over the land being donated to the forum by a good Samaritan during the meeting, saying that the land would be used to establish an orphanage home.
Also speaking, the forum’s Director in charge of investigations, Mallam saidu Mohammed, said the forum is created in order to improve the living standard of the less privileged in the society.
According to Saidu Mohammed, before a widow or an orphan or a beneficiary enroll in this forum, we ought to investigate physically. Sometimes the investigation committee will conduct house-to-house research to ascertain the genuineness of the beneficiaries.
He informed that the executives of the forum would remain Committed to their duties, and called for the unity of the members at all times.
On his part, the national Public Relations Officer of the forum, Mr Abdulmutalib Isah, said the forum would soon become a national organisation in the nearby future.
On his contribution, the legal Adviser of the forum, Barr. Khalid pointed out that he would not hesitate to give legal advice to the organisation whenever the need arises.
Not left out, the Director in charge of the business committee of the forum, Mr Mukhtar Adamu Jibril, expressed with happiness that he would remain committed to pursue businesses for the organisation to excel in the society.
