Muslims to hold national prayer on peace, security Sunday in Abuja

The Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs is organizing a one-day prayer session on behalf of the country as part of concerted efforts aimed at overcoming the current security challenges bedeviling the country. This is coming days after Christian prayers that took place last week Friday in Abuja.

The one-day prayer session, which comes up on Sunday, will hold at the National Mosque, Abuja, with the Sultan of Sokoto, His Eminence, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar 111 being the Chief Host and Spiritual Father of the day and His Excellency Arc.Mohammed Namadi Sambo will serve as the Special Guest of Honour, while all the Muslim governors are expected to be in attendance, as well as Ministers, Members of the National Assembly, Traditional leaders, Sheiks, Imams and leaders of various Islamic groups .
