The rehabilitation works of over 20 years Moribond Bida Water Works by the National Hydro Electric Power Producing Areas Commission N-HYPPADEC has reached 90% completion and ready for commissioning.
National Hydro Electric Power Producing Areas Commission N-HYPPADEC, Director of Engineering and Technical Services, Itilatyaa T. Daniel made this known during the confirmatory test exercise of five MVA transformer purchased by the commission at the site in Bida.
Represented by the Assistant Director Engineering Services, Suleiman Ajibola Adebara said the rehabilitation will solve the perennial problem of portable water supply in Bida town and environs.
According to him, the five MVA transformer will be installed before the commissioning of the project in no distant time.
Consequently, the ongoing revitalization of the Bida Minna Water Works has gained significant momentum as the N-HYPADEC had supplied five MVA transformer to expedite power supply to the upgraded treatment plant.
The Head of electrical division N-HYPADEC Engineer Ibrahim Adamu Haruna noted that the five MVA transformer for the running of the treatment pumps which was purchased by the Niger state government over time, has been test run successfully.
