Rep. GarbaDattiMuhammed, APC member representing SabonGari of Kaduna state, has said that the 30 billion naira so far spent by the federal government on power in the last fifteen years is still a mirage and the challenges enormous.

Speaking to People’s Daily correspondent in Abuja, the lawmaker stated that the huge amount of money spent on the power project has become worrisome and would have being channel to develop other projects for the development of the country.

According to him, the poor electricity generation caused by the government amount to lackadaisical attitude because most of the industries have closed down while others have relocated to the neighboring countries such as Ghana and Mali.

Muhammed said that the present administration has failed to deliver the dividend of democracy to the people, but rather embark on campaigns of calumny and sowing seeds of discord among the people.

He explained that the erratic poor electricity supply in the country has thrown many out of jobs and many graduate are on yearly basis seeking for jobs without any solution because all the viable companies have closed down or are not functional due to poor power supply.

He also said that the present administration is only interested in defending corruption done at the high level while neglecting issues bordering the masses.
