NADCEL 2026: Radda Hails Troops’ Courage, Sacrifice
Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has hailed officers, soldiers, and veterans of the Nigerian Army for their courage, sacrifice and commitment to protecting the nation and serving the people.
The governor made the commendation in a message to mark 2026 Nigerian Army Day Celebration (NADCEL).
He said that the Army has remained unwavering in safeguarding Nigeria’s territorial integrity and protecting the lives and property of citizens.
Radda paid glowing tribute to their courage, professionalism, and sacrifice, including those serving in the frontlines in the state, the North-West region, and other parts of the country.
He said the Army’s resilience and steadfast efforts in combating banditry, terrorism, kidnapping, and other criminal activities, has continued to strengthen the nation’s security and restore hope to affected communities.
Radda reaffirmed the commitment of the Katsina State Government to sustaining its strong partnership with the Nigerian Army and other security agencies in the collective effort to achieve lasting peace and security across the state.
“Our administration remains fully committed to supporting the Nigerian Army through sustained collaboration, intelligence sharing, and community engagement.
“Together, we will continue to strengthen the fight against insecurity and create a safer environment where our people can live, work, and prosper,” the governor said.
He remembered the gallantry of officers and soldiers who paid the supreme sacrifice in the service of the nation, and prayed for the peaceful repose of their souls and the speedy recovery of those wounded.
