Dr Baba Mohammed, proponent of the National Commission for the Coordination and Control of the Proliferation of Small Arms and Light Weapons Bill, has extended Easter greetings to Nigerians, calling for peace and unity across the country.
In a goodwill message, the Madaki of Ankpa urged Christians and other citizens to embrace the spirit of the season, describing Easter as a period for reflection, gratitude and harmonious living.
He prayed for enduring joy and happiness among Nigerians, expressing optimism that peace would continue to prevail nationwide.
Mohammed also called on citizens to remain steadfast in prayers for the country and for the successful take-off of the commission, noting that its full implementation would help tackle insecurity.
He said the proposed commission would create employment opportunities for youths and boost the national economy, describing it as one of the key legacies of President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
The NATCOM proponent further felicitated the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume; the Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa; and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, among others, on the Easter celebration.
