Director General National Task force to combat Illegal Importation/Smuggling of Arms, Ammunition, Light Weapon,(NATFORCE) Chief Osita Okeene has threaten to sue the Inspector General of Police,(IGP) Mohammed Adamu unless he retracts a wireless signal sent across states and commands alleging that Natforce and its DG has been disbanded by the federal government.

In a statement yesterday by chief Okereke lawyer Chibuzor C.Ezike and CO of Que Sera Chembers addressed to IGP entitled: Re Police Wireless Message Alleging Fraudulent Representation by Osita Okereke As the Director General National Task force to Combat and Mornitor Ilegal Importation of Small Arms And Ammunition, Light Weapon and Pipeline Vandalism(Natforce) And the Allegation of Disbandment of Activities of Natforce by the Federal Government: A Demand For Immediate Retraction of the Said Unfounded Allegation:
The request also read in Part: “we most respectfully request that you use your good office to retract the said police wireless message which portrayed our client and Natforce as criminal elements that must be crushed by the Nigeria Police Force”.
According to the document, Okereke lawyers is demanding that the wireless signal from the police with reference DTO:041730/03/2020” be retrieved by the Police immediately else all necessary legal action will be taken against the police.
He observed that Natforce has been working in synergy with the Police, complementing their effort in fighting crimes and other criminalities.
He also gives IGP 24-hours ultimatum to retract his statement against him and Natforce to avoid problem.
