National Board for Arabic and Islamic Studies releases 2019 results

National Board for Arabic and Islamic Studies NBAIS has released the results of theJune, July 2019 Senior Arabic and Islamic Secondary Certificates Examination SAISSCE nationwide.
The Board’s Aching Registrar, Professor Mohammed Shafiu Abdullahi disclosed this during a press conference held in kaduna yesterday.
Acccording to him said 36,239 candidates sat for the SAISSCE examination out of which 28,645 passed.
Abdullahi explained that the students sat for the core subjects which include Arabic, English, Islamic Studies, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
“28,645 candidates out of the total candidates that sat for the examination passed all their papers.
“Those who failed some papers we don’t regards them as failures because they equally passed some of their papers. Which means they can still further their education with five credits,” he said.
Professor Abdullahi also added that with the outcome of the results the board has recorded success in this year examination because there are improvement with regards to number of students that passed Arabic studies, English language in Nigeria.
He also said good number of their candidates have gained admission in major Universities in the country and abroad in various field that include sciences departments
“What we are doing now is to sensitize institutions to correct the wrong perception out there that shows somebody who graduated from Arabic and Islamic institutions cannot read science subjects.
“’The essence of establishing Arabic and Islamic institutions is to have integrated syllabus which was the one we are using and to also have integrated students who can reads Arabic and English,” he Said.
