National Directorate of Employment, NDE in Benue State has commenced the training of 540 participants in Advanced Business Training, ABT .
The program is domiciled under the Expanded Special Public Works, ESPW of the Directorate.
Director-General, NDE Mallam Abubakar Nuhu Fikpo said the training is aimed at equipping the participants to be self employed.
Represented by a Deputy Director Engr. Momoh Philip, the DG also, said the program is an exit strategy which entails that after three (3) monyhs, the trainees will be given a stipend of 60, 000 to start off their business.
Benue State Coordinator, NDE Musa Bala Sadauki stated that the program is meant for those who participated in the Basic Business Training, BBT for 180 participants in the three (3) Senatorial District of the state.
He highlighted the benefits of the training to include, to stimulate entrepreneurial spirit amongst the ESPW participants , foster the creation of new businesses, promote financial inclusion amongst the poorest of poor as well as train participants to manage their enterprise effectively and efficiently based on the best practices to prevent business failure.
