Kaduna State Command of National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has made seizures of 1,721.508KG Cannabis sativa, and arrested 86 suspects from January to date.
The State Commander of the Agency, Uche Iyke Samuel made the assertion while parading suspects in kaduna, yesterday.
Mr. Samuel, however, said success of the command was in the month of May when a suspect was arrested with 86.8 kilogrammes of cannabis, while the major break-through came on the 7th of the month with the arrest of two suspects with seventeen bags weighing 162.8 kilogrammes of same substance in Kudandan industrial layout of Kaduna.
He added that on 8th of the May 2021, another person was apprehended with 68.5 kilogrammes at Dutsen-Wai, yet on 9th of same month being Sunday, a suspect with 10.2kilogrammes of Cannabis was apprehended at Kasuwan Magani, totaling 328.1 kilogrammes within the 10 days in May.
According to him, the success as recorded was made through the painstaking efforts of the gallant officers of the Command and public awareness.
