NEMA assists Kano orthopedic hospital with building materials

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has provided relief assistance to the National Orthopedic Hospital, Kano as a result of Rain/Wind storm disaster.

The Relief material approved by the Federal Government was as a result of recent destruction of the roofing in the new administrative block and other buildings at the hospital.

The Relief items which consist of building and accommodation materials are 200 bundles of roofing sheets, 300 bags of cement, 100 bags of 3 inches nails, 100 packets of zinc nails, 100 pieces each of mattresses and blankets.

NEMA North West Zonal Coordinator, Alhaji Musa Ilallah represented by the Head of Planning, Research & Forecasting Department, Hajia Zaynab Saidu presented the relief support to the Medical Director, Dr. Muhammad Salihu at the Hospital premises.

The Medical Director commended the agency’s prompt response to the incidence.
