Tax Justice Network (TJN) has called for the collaboration of Ministries Department and Agencies (MDAs) to enhance tax compliance in Kaduna State.
The Coordinator of TJN in Kaduna, Mr Simeon Olatunde asserted this during a courtesy visit to the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Technology on Wednesday in Kaduna explained that they aimed to facilitate the development of effective legal and policy regime that promotes fair, progressive, and transparent tax system and administration in Kaduna State.
Olatunde also explained that the partnership was necessary as it would be tailored to enhancing tax education and enlightenment that will improve people’s understanding of various tax policies.
“Our vision is to have a human society with a fair, progressive, and transparent tax system as the basis for promoting sustainable development, eradicating poverty, and creating equity for State residents”.
“We are advocating for the reduction of multiple taxation, changes in the incentives and social values that support tax dodging and promote progressive taxation system.”
