Chairman of Nigeria Football Federation Technical and Development Committee Alhaji Ahmed has tipped Nigeria super eagles to win the trophy at the ongoing Africa Championship after the team beat Sudan 1-0 to book the final ticket for the first time in history.
He said that, eagles are good enough to emerge the winner in Morocco after a hard earns victory.
According to him, I think the home based Eagles have really impressed me and other members of the Nigeria football Federation Technical and Development Committee especially with the way they have performed outside the group stage up till the final of this competition.
“I am of optimistic that the team will win come Sunday when will face host country Morocco in the final.
“The performance of Eagles is enough to earn them gold at the final.”
He added: We know Moroccans is also a good side but the game is 90 minutes plus so, apparently anything can happen, we have a formidable team that are very resilient going by their records in this tournament” he submitted.
Meanwhile, Eagles on Wednesday defeated Sudan 1-0 in Marrakesh and we now face the host side Morocco in Casablanca come Sunday 4th January 2018.
