A Non Governmental Organization (NGO) Do The Right Thing For Less Privileged &Youth Foundation (DTRTFLPYF) has urged Nigerians to be the change they desire to have in their nation.
In a press conference addressed in Abuja Thursday, Founder /Convener, Chief Mike Nwadiora who reeled out the objectives of the Foundation as follows to reorient existing and new generations on the right value system, pull stakeholders and chart a new course in managing indiscipline, stimulate existing and future generations on the right value system and stimulate effective and transformative leadership noted that “Do The Right Things” Campaign serves as a call to action and encourages one to be the change he/she desires for the nation.
While speaking on their upcoming summit on leadership, he said, “For us at the Do The Right Thing Campaign, there has to be an agenda-setting context for the future level of national development.
“The Do The Right Thing Summit themed ‘Being The Right Leader’ with the slogan “I am the change I need” scheduled to hold on the 9th of November 2023 here in Abuja at the Shehu Musa Yar Adua Centre.
“The Do The Right Thing Summit 2023 is just the beginning of the next phase of the activities to harmonize a series of dialogues and engagements to be held in all the geopolitical zones around the country on an annual basis.
“The dialogues will help us understand the challenges and emerging issues of what we determined to be the Right Thing to Do – in both the formal and informal sectors which play a very critical influencing role in our democracy.
“In promoting the Summit, the media must be more engaged in the management of information around the issues by encouraging specialization in areas of interest, fostering in-depth analysis, and facilitating open dialogues that empower audiences to make informed decisions.
“In addition, our partners have pledged to work with our Campaign to move our beloved country to a culture of Doing The Right Thing and being the change I need, thereby creating better living conditions and opportunities for our fellow Nigerians.
“The “Do The Right Things” Summit/Campaign serves as a call to action and encourages us to be that change we desire for Nigeria. It calls upon us to rise above indifference, to embrace empathy and positive change” Nwadiora noted.
