The Founder of a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) known as Foundation for the Needy, Passion and Charity (FNPC), Mrs. Agatha Leonard has volunteered to use her foundation to come to the succour of widows and the needy by giving them free skill acquisition for better living .
Mrs. Leonard made the disclosure recently in Abuja , while speaking with Peoples Daily.
She called on widows and needy in the country to avail themselves to grab this great opportunity of receiving free trainings and empowerment of various kind such as; fashion designing, hair dressing, cakes, soap-making, among others.
Consequently, she appealed to the government for an office space that can accommodate over 150 trainees that would be empowered. “This is our contributions to job creation. We also thank Nigerians for assisting the NGO financially, which has enabled us to meet the yearnings of those in need “.
Mrs. Leonard further explained that the NGO has been in existence for over five years and has trained over 500 widows and needy in Nigeria through their offices in Gwagwa and Kubwa in the federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.
Meanwhile,The founder revealed that the NGO has also trained widows both in Enugu state and Awka in Anambra state and is planing to extend their services to other states of the federation.
