The Divisonla Police Officer (DPO) in charge of Madalla ‘C’ Division in Suleja Local Government Area of Niger State, CSP Abdullahi N. Liman, the DPO in charge Gawu Babangida in Gurara Local Government Area of Niger, SP Yakubu Bissala Yusuf as well as the DPO of Sabon Wuse in Tafa Local Government Area of Niger, CSP Lateef Abiodun, have been conferred with media merit awards by the management of the Orator Communications limited, the publishers of the Orator weekly newspaper based in Niger state and Abuja.

CSP Abdullahi N. Liman received the distinguished media merit award of “Astute Detective”,  SP Yakubu Bissala Yusuf was bestowed with media merit award of “Astute Detective” and CSP Lateef Abiodun was conferred with media merit award of “Astute Detective”.

Conferring the media merit awards on the Divisional Police Officers on Friday, the managing editor of the Orator weekly newspaper, Mr Nasir Oseni said the media awards were bestowed on the awardees based on their outstanding contributions in combating crime in the society.

Oseni also said the awards were conferred on the recipients based on the investigations carried out by the editorial team of the Orator weekly newspaper.

On their separate responses, the Divisional Police Officers thanked the Orator Weekly newspaper for the honours.

Some of the police officers who spoke during the occasion said the awards conferred on their bosses were step in the right direction.
