There was anxiety in Lapai South Local Government Area of Niger State as another kidnapping has occired, this time one Abu Sanda (Magaji) was abducted last Sunday night at his resident in Ebbo.
It was gathered that the victim was kidnapped in his resident at night in Ebbo/ Gbachenku ward of Lapai local government of the state after collecting an undisclosed amount of money from him.
Investigation further revealed that the family was attacked by some armed men and rubbed the brother Sule Sanda of over N500,000 a day before the kidnapping incidence occurred.
According to family sources, the kidnappers have called the family while asking for N2 million ransom before he will be released but while trying to negotiate for about N250,000 the kidnappers out of annoyance offed the phone on them.
A family member while speaking to our correspondent however, lamented on how to raise such money hence threatening his life calling for security intervention for the safe release of their brother, although the family has informed Police at Ebbo Outpost for necessary action.
In same vein, a resident of Ebbo who doesn’t want his name in print charged the State and local governments to provide adequate security intelligence to ensure the security and safety of the citizens from the persistent attack by the kidnappers.
When contacted the Niger state command Police Public Relations Office (PPRO) Mohammed Abubakar however referred me to get in touch with the local government DPO for details who could not be gotten at the time of going to the press.
