From Lawal Sa’idu Funtua Katsina
The Katsina Emirate Council has turbanned twelve prominent sons of the emirate that include two district heads and two ward heads.
The traditional title holders were turbanned by the Emir of Katsina, Alhaji AbdulMimini Kabir Usman at his palace in Katsina.
Among those turbanned are Alhaji Darda’u Mu’azu who was appointed as District Head of Danmusa and Alhaji Yusuf Yakubu who was appointed as District Head of Rimaye in Kankia Local Government Area.
Others were Alhaji Haruna Abubakar who was appointed Ward Head of ‘Yandoma and Alhaji Suleiman Dangi who was appointed as Ward Head of ‘Yantumaki in Danmusa Local Government Area.
Also among those turbanned was the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Alhaji Abubakar Yahaya Kusada who was turbanned as the Garkuwan Katsina, and a former Deputy Governor of the state, Alhaji Abdullahi Faskari who was turbanned as Yabanin Katsina.
