The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, has urged members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Niger State to put aside their differences and embrace reconciliation to strengthen the party ahead of future political contests.
Idris made the appeal during the weekend at the Niger State APC Stakeholders’ Meeting convened by Governor Umaru Mohammed Bago at the Government House in Minna.
Addressing party leaders and members, the minister stressed the need for unity, mutual respect and dialogue, saying political disagreements should not be allowed to undermine the collective interest of the party or the development of Niger State.
According to him, democracy flourishes when leaders prioritize the common good above personal interests, adding that the APC’s continued success at both the national and state levels depends on inclusiveness, internal cohesion and constructive engagement.
He also commended Governor Bago for convening the stakeholders’ meeting, describing it as a timely platform for consultation, reconciliation and renewed commitment to the ideals of the ruling party.
Idris further called on Nigerians to continue supporting the administrations of President Bola Tinubu and Governor Bago in their efforts to deliver sustainable development and improve the welfare of citizens.
