
The Niger Delta Youth Parliament to honour the Special Assistant to the President on ICT Development and Digital Innovation, Mr Tokoni Peter Igoni, for his contributions to public service through digital transformation.
The recognition will form part of the Regional Youth Convergence scheduled to hold this Friday in Delta State.
In a statement issued by the
Chairman House Committee on Public Service Evaluation and Investiture. Hon. Joshua Iwems, the youths praised Mr Igoni for his strategic efforts in exploring digital solutions to address Nigeria’s growing security challenges.
According to the group, the presidential aide has played a pivotal role in shaping the nation’s digital landscape and introducing innovative tools to support national development and internal security.
“He represents a new generation of leadership that understands the power of technology in solving real-world problems,” the statement read.
The youths commended Mr Igoni’s impact in leveraging ICT to modernise public service, enhance communication frameworks, and develop platforms aimed at safeguarding lives and property.
Organisers said the recognition is a reflection of the broader youth demand for forward-thinking leadership and effective use of technology in Addressing Security challenges.
Friday’s event will also feature honours for other notable public officials, including the Governor of Delta State and the Minister of Interior, both of whom have championed reforms in digital inclusion and security innovation.
