Niger Gov. presents over N613b 2024 budget to State Assembly

Niger state governor Mohammed Umar Bago has presented 2024 budget appropriation of over N613 billion to the State House of Assembly for scrutiny and passage.
Presenting the budget to the lawmakers at the assembly complex in Minna, governor Bago tagged this year’s budget as ‘ Budget of the Future’ at exchange rate of N750 per barrel of petrol price.
Governor Bago explained that the 2024 budget estimate has 75.6% as its Capital Expenditure to the sum of N464, 056, 832 while 24.33% as recurrent expenditure of N149,217,969,00.
Given the breakdown of the budget which includes; Personnel Cost of N50,614,456,657.1, overhead cost of N29,446,590,341.00 while the Consolidated Revenue is N69,156,922,153.39 to the sum N149,217,969,152.
The governor gave the sectorial budget with Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Renewal sector.
