Governor Mohammed Umar Bago said his administration will continue to recognize the advisory role of elder statesmen and tap from their wealth of experience for the growth and development of the state.
Governor Bago stated this shortly after visiting the two former Nigeria’s leaders, Generals Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida and Abdulsalami Abubakar at their hill top residences in Minna in continuation of his Sallah visit.
Bago who had a closed door meetings with the two former leaders at their separate residences, later spoke to journalists on the purpose of his visit.
The governor was in company of his Deputy, Comrade Yakubu Garba, Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Alhaji Abubakar Usman, Chief of Staff, Abdullahi Usaman Gbatamangi, and other key government officials as well as APC stalwarts.
