Niger State Government has approved the purchase of four hundred tricycles at the sum of N464 million as part of its measures to cushion the effect of transportation challenges within the state capital.
This was made known by the state commissioner for Transport, Hajiya Ramatu Yar’adua during a press briefing at the government house Minna.
Represented by her permanent secretary, Dr Ibrahim Garba Musa said the purpose of purchasing the tricycle was to reduce the suffering of Nigerlites in the areas of transportation and ensuring proper security situations.
She explained that the beneficiaries are expected to remit N60,000 monthly after the initial interest fees of N65,000 as processing fund.
