Niger Govt declares to host Green Economic summit in Minna

The Niger State Government has declared  to host a National Green Economy summit scheduled for October 24-25, 2023, in Minna, Niger State capital.

This is contained in a statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government, SSG, Alhaji Abubakar Usman.

He explained that the summit theme will be Sustainable Future: Harnessing Green Assets and Innovation for Niger State’s Prosperity.

The SSG revealed that it will coincide with the United Nations Day as well as the climate advocacy group, 350 organization’s  International Day for Climate Action, to underscore the resolve to partake in achieving collective global goals through responsible local action.

Alhaji Abubakar Usman added that Governor of Niger State, Mohammed Umar Bago, will play a significant role in championing a national green economy initiative, is organizing this Green Economy Summit to reposition the State for sustainable socioeconomic development, and to boldly make Niger State the green investment hub of Nigeria.
