Niger govt sets for $200bn Agro Industrial Park, CNG Gas Plant

Arrangements have reached an advance stage by the Niger state Government and a private investor for the establishment of two hundred billion dollar Agro Industrial Park and a CNG Gas Plant in Lambata, Suleja and Minna.

State Commissioner of Industry Trade Investment and Private Sector Development, Aminu Suleiman Takuma who stated this while addressing newsmen at the end of their State Executive Council meeting in Minna said the project will be first establish in Lambata, Gurara local government.

He revealed that discussion to this effect on the signing of a Memorandum Of Understanding MOU between them is to be concluded by the end of this month.

Represented by Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Hamza Sarki Bello, said when completed the project would project the state Government in its proper perspective, create job opportunities and improve the Internally Generated Revenue IGR of Niger state to enhance its economic viability and reliability.

Aminu Suleiman Takuma also spoke of plans by the Niger state Government to establish three special Agro Processing Zone in Minna, Takun fara and Mokwa which he said were on various stages of work.

He announced that the state organized

trade fair is scheduled for 20th May, 2025 in which many states are expected to attend.
