At least, over 2000 defectors were said to have decamped to Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Dukku local government area of Gombe state when the Party Chairman, Comrade Adamu Abubakar Modibbo led officials to commission the newly established Dukku local government SDP Secretariat.
This was contained in a press release signed by the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Chairman of Gombe state SDP Engr. Muhammed Abdulkadir Kumo.
While addressing the gathering, the state Chairman of SDP, Comrade Modibbo expressed satisfaction with the massive turnout of the people of Dukku, assuring them of party commitment through inclusiveness and tackling of their challenges in water supply, road infrastructure and Agriculture.
