From Yakubu Mustapha Minna
Government at all levels has been advised to channel adequate resources in to agriculture and solid minerals in order to get Nigerians out of poverty, hunger and economic hardship confronting the citizens in the country.
The immediate past State Coordinator, Minna Field office of the Nigeria Middletown and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) Ahmed Emimoru gave the advice in an interview with journalists in Minna, said the citizens most be able to access modern farm equipments with ease.
Ahmed Emimoru who lamented over the current hardship facing the people, sequel to hunger and economic livelihood however called on both the federal state governments to put in place measures especially as it affects transportation to alleviate the plight of Nigerians.
He explained that investing in agriculture is like channeling resources in to the lives of the people because if government is able to get rid of hunger and poverty other businesses will surely thrive, while calling on all Nigerians to embrace farming as business not as a perceived profession.
Emimaru called on the leadership of the country to urgently changed the narrative of governance from government priority not people’s priority by prioritizing the people oriented projects rather than elephant projects that has no meaningful impact on the citizens, which needed a committed and focused leadership to pilot the affairs of governance.
