The Executive Chairman of Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Christopher Zakka Maikalangu, has called on the residents of the Council to deem it necessary to work towards the unity, for the sake of attaining togetherness for sustainable development.
Maikalangu, who made the call in his message to the inhabitants of the Council, particularly charged the residents to work towards the preservation of the nation’s collective heritage.
He stressed the need for the residents to continue to strive to project those values that have kept the nation as an indivisible entity, describing AMAC as the Area Council hosting the nation’s capital city of power as a symbol of the country’s unity.
According to him: “For us in the Council, the dream of our founding fathers was to build a municipality that showcases our national aspirations.
“As residents, our charge is to uphold these ideals. I urge all the residents to use the opportunity provided by this 63rd anniversary to demonstrate acts of unity and togetherness towards our neighbors and everyone else we come in contact with.
“We are glad to note that AMAC is blessed with an emergent AMAC generation.”
The AMAC boss lauded president Bola Ahmed Tinubu as well as the FCT Minister, Nyesom Ezenwo for providing purposeful leaderships capable of satisfying aspiration of the Nigeria citizens.
Maikalangu also applauded the Appeal Tribunal sitting at the FCT High Court, Apo that affirmed his victory as the winner of the 2022 election in AMAC, and hailed justice Suleiman Belgore as a hero of justice.
