The Nigerian stock market has recorded landmark performance as investors gained a staggering ₦1.806 trillion in a single day—marking one of the most significant daily gains in the market’s history.
The bullish momentum was driven by a sharp rally in key equities, with the All-Share Index (ASI) surging by 2,457.13 points or 2.01% to close at 124,446.80, breaching the 124,000 mark for the first time. This uptrend pushed the total market capitalisation to ₦78.726 trillion, up from ₦76.970 trillion the previous day—an increase of 2.35%.
Analysts attribute the record-breaking performance to renewed investor confidence, improved market liquidity, and positive sentiment around ongoing economic reforms and policy signals.
