The final moments of Stephen Keshi as the head coach of the Nigeria national team drew different opinion from fans as some felt it’s time for the Big Boss to leave, while others felt Keshi is good enough to take Nigeria to the next level.

After the loss away to Sudan the anger grew as fans called for the sack of Stephen Keshi insisting that it’s time for him to go. Tension grew as the second leg against Sudan was just few days away, question such as; will this NFF sack Keshi or allow him to stay? Is there any coach available? Can Keshi’s boys beat the Sudanese?

Questions kept coming up with no obvious answers. A few fans came into the national stadium, Abuja carrying banners displaying ‘Keshi must go’, they claimed they can’t take it again on basis that that the Super Eagles aren’t playing good football.

On match day, Wednesday more fans came into the stadium, Abuja carrying banners displaying ‘Support Keshi’ ‘Keshi is the best coach in Africa’.

It was obvious that some fans still wanted Stephen Keshi to stay while others wanted him sacked.

The NFF dropped the ball hours after the Eagles thump Sudan 3-1 that the Super Eagles coach (now former) Stephen Keshi has been sacked.
