NNPC sends condolences, as Total Oil loses CEO

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has commiserated with French oil giant, Total, over the death of its Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Christophe de Margerie.

In a condolence letter to the Managing Director of Total Exploration & Production Nigeria, the management of the Corporation stated that it was saddened by the circumstance of the death of the Total boss, whom it described as a “quintessential manager and leader in the global oil and gas industry”.

According to a statement, issued by the Group General Manager, NNPC’s Group Public Affairs Division, Ohi Alegbe, the Corporation assured Total Exploration & Production of its support through the trying period, while praying God to grant the Total family worldwide the fortitude to bear the loss.
