Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has reduced the price of petrol at its retail stations once again.

On Monday, checks in Abuja revealed that NNPCL outlets now sell Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) at ₦815 per litre, down from the previous ₦835 per litre.

The latest adjustment marks a ₦20 drop in the pump price and has already been applied at several NNPCL stations across the Federal Capital Territory.

Locations where the new price is in effect include Wuse Zone 6, Wuse Zone 4, along the Keffi–Abuja Road, and the Kubwa Expressway.

Despite the reduction, NNPCL petrol remains more expensive than the price at Dangote Refinery-supported MRS stations, which currently sell fuel at ₦739 per litre nationwide.

The lower MRS price follows recent reductions tied to Dangote Refinery’s decreased gantry price.

This is not the first time NNPCL has cut its pump price recently.

On December 19, 2025, the company lowered petrol by ₦80 to ₦835 per litre.

These adjustments are part of an ongoing price competition in Nigeria’s oil downstream sector, driven by changes in gantry prices from major suppliers.

Consumers continue to watch filling stations closely as further price changes are expected.
