The New Nigeria People Party (NNPP), Bauchi State Chapter, has expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the party Local Government congress held Saturday; saying is the first step towards defeating the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.
The Secretary of the party, Alhaji Mahmood Baba Maaji, stated this while addressing journalists after collation of results from the twenty local government areas of the state yesterday, describing it as the most successful conduct of its local government congresses.
Mahmood said “NNPP are well organized party that is youth driven, that cares with people welfare and is structure base that is capable of removing the incumbent government”,
He said “we have the all confidence with the base on ground that is why you see people trooping into the party on daily basis, so we are prepared to take over government come 2019 Insha Allah”
The NNPP secretary in Bauchi commended stakeholders, supporters and congress committee members for the conduct of successful congress in 20 Local Government Area.
Meanwhile the Secretary of the Congress, Commitee Alhaji Yahaya Mohammed, confirmed that election was conducted in peaceful manner void of rancor, saying the exercise was successfully conducted in the 20 LGAs.
According to him, the local government congress was held in 20 Local Government Area of Bauchi State on 23rd September 2017 free and fair by 11 man committee charged to conduct the congresses.
He said the committee is ready to receive any complaint and petition in respect of the Local Government congresses to give fair hearing to all supporters.
“Our party does not support anointing or appointing people to lead, leaders will come through election, and members should vote and be voted for”
He said very soon, ward congresses would be conducted in the 356 wards of the state and is going to peaceful and free and fair.
