Determined to reposition the health care system, Delta state government on Tuesday assured of its readiness to complete health projects it embarked on inline with specifications on the bills of quantity ( BOQ.
The state Commissioner for health, Dr Onoye Mordi who confirmed this to Journalists in Asaba said that the essence of the projects was to make health care accessable to Deltans, adding that OKowa led administration was committed to the importance of health for all in the state as the projects with eighty percent has reached advance stage of completion.
Mordi said” Okowa administration placed a lot of importance on the health sector, especially as a medical Doctor, hence between 2018 and 2019 , it embarked on massive renovation of health facilities across the state which include: Primary, Secondary and tertiary hospitals while about eighty percent of the ministry of health budget released last in 2018, cannot but follow up the projects to their completion.”
Many of the health Projects are: Ogwashi Uku General Hospital, Ekpan General Hospital, , Central Hospital Warri and Primary Health Care Center are:Igbudu, Warri, but at the Central hospital Warri, the project was a replacement of the 2.5MVA / 33/11 KVA transformer embarked on by the state government to improve the quality of power supply in the hospital
