A two-day interactive session on Government-Citizen Engagement has ended in Kaduna, with participants commending President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration for its efforts in fulfilling electoral promises.
The summit, held at Arewa House from July 29-30, 2025, brought together government officials, security agencies, civil society organizations, and other stakeholders. The participants acknowledged the government’s high performance in security, infrastructure, and economic reforms.
According to the communiqué issued at the end of the summit, the participants resolved to institutionalize periodic government-citizen dialogue platforms at national and state levels. They also called for substantial investment in education to address the out-of-school children crisis, particularly in Northern Nigeria.
The summit also urged the government to accelerate infrastructural development, strengthen agricultural value chains, and establish agro-allied industries.
The participants expressed support for the government’s economic and security reforms, while emphasizing the need for inclusive and community-driven approaches.
The Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Foundation organized the summit, which aimed to deepen dialogue between critical stakeholders and the public to drive inclusive decision-making.
