In a move to ensure that a new face on the political terrain emerges as their sole candidate in the 2027 presidential election, youths from the 19 Northern states converged on Kaduna recently to unanimously push for a new Nigeria.
At the Northern Youth Summit organized by the National Youth Alliance (NYA), various speakers spoke on the need to be united on a formidable front and support a young individual to occupy the exalted position of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
They blamed the economic woes that the country is going through on lack of ideas that would move the country forward.
In an interview with newsmen, President of NYA, Ambassador Aliyu Bin Abbas lamented that the present political leadership of Nigeria is out of tune with the hardship citizens are facing.
He said that the NYA is a movement that has attracted youth from all the political parties, with the sole aim of birthing a Nigeria that will work for all.
“NYA has been able to attract youth from the All Progressives Congress (APC), People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Labour Party (LP), APGA, NNPP and other parties.
“As you can see, they came here in numbers for what they believe in, as patriotic Nigeria’s, they are yearning for change that will put Nigeria on the right pedestal,” he said.
