The Taraba State Governor and Peoples Democratic (Party) Chairman for Bayelsa State National Campaign Council, Dr. Agbu Kefas has promised Bayelsans to expect more if Governor Douye Diri is re-elected during November 11 gubernatorial election in the state.
A statement issued to Journalists in Jalingo by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Yusuf Sanda disclosed that Governor Agbu Kefas solicited for support and cooperation of the Bayelsa people and assured them that the party would be victorious again.
According to the statement, Governor Agbu asserted this at the meeting, which was held at the Wadata House ,Abuja, which also featured the inauguration of the campaign council sub-committees.
The Governor noted at the meeting that, its the responsibility of everyone in Bayelsa State to ensure that the PDP retains the Governorship position.
“The PDP campaign is not just a mere quest for power but a commitment to transformative leadership that fosters growth, unity, and equity.
“I want to tell you that, Bayelsa’s potential is huge and that with the forthcoming election, the state stands at another threshold of history, the PDP campaign will be issues-based as its policies that are geared towards the aspiration of the people.” Agbu added.
While identifying the giant strides of the Duoye Diri administration, he told the people to expect more if the Governor is reelected.
He urged the people to promote an environment of collaboration, where innovative ideas would flourish for the Party to achieve its purpose.
He equally called for the support and cooperation of the Bayelsa people and assured them that the party would be victorious again.
In his remarks, the Governor of Bayelsa state, Douye Diri expressed confidence in the capacity and competence of the Taraba State Governor, Dr. Agbu Kefas; the Leader of the campaign council, and commended the efforts of the PDP national Secretariat towards his reelection bid.
He urged the council to be up and doing and never to undermine the opposition party in the state.
The Governor expressed optimism that the party will emerge victorious in the fourth coming election.
