Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin has achieved a major academic milestone in the accreditation exercise conducted by the National Universities Commission (NUC), between October and November, 2025, earning full accreditation status for all its academic programmes presented to the Commission.
This was conveyed in a letter signed by the Director of accreditation, Eng. Abraham Chundusu, on behalf of the Executive Secretary of the Commission, Prof. Abdullahi Ribadu.
The approval followed the NUC’s nationwide accreditation of academic programmes in Nigerian universities, which was carried out in line with statutory provisions of section 10 (1) of Education (National Minimum Standard of Establishment of Institutions) Act Cap E3 laws of the Federation of Nigeria 2004.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Lateef Oladimeji, described the development as a testament to the university’s commitment to providing quality education, human resources, infrastructural, and community development.
Oladimeji said that the outcome confirms that all programmes in the university meet the required standards in terms of curriculum, staffing, infrastructure, and academic delivery.
Al-Hikmah University, established in 2005, is the first Islamic faith – based university in Nigeria
