NUJ congratulates veteran journalist Zainab Rabo on Award of Excellence

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Jigawa State Council, has congratulated Hajiya Zainab Shu’aibu Rabo Ringim, an ace broadcaster and veteran journalist on the Award of Excellence presented to her by the state ministry of women affairs.

The prestigious award was in recognition of her outstanding achievements and immense contributions to journalism and the development of women in Jigawa State and beyond.

In a joint statement issued by the state NUJ Chairman, Comrade Isma’il Ibrahim Dutse, and Acting Secretary, Comrade Aminu Umar Shuwajo, the council described the award as well-deserved,  highlighting her dedication, hard work, and unwavering commitment to the journalism profession.

“Her accomplishments as a woman continue to inspire excellence and promote women’s empowerment across the state.

“The Council once again congratulates Hajiya Zainab and prays for her continued success in future endeavors,” the union added.

Zainab Ringim is currently a Senior Special Assistant on Media Affairs to Jigawa state Governor Malam Umar Namadi. She had worked with Jigawa State Radio and German broadcaster Radio Deutsche Welle.

A former vice-chairman of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Zainab Ringim had also been recognized for her work in empowering women and advocating for better media representation in Nigeria.
