NYSC boss presents insurance cover cheque to family of late corps member

The Director General, National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier General YD Ahmed has presented insurance cover cheque to the family of Corps Member Juliana Oreoluwa Aina who lost her life in a BRT Bus that was crushed by a train in Lagos, in March this year.
Speaking to the parents and siblings of the deceased at their home in Abuja, the Director General extended the sympathy of the entire Management, Staff and Corps Members to the family.
“All of us in the NYSC family received with great shock the news of the sudden death of our dear sister. Please accept our deepest condolences. We have equally received volumes of condolence messages from far and near when the unfortunate incident occurred”, he said.
Earlier, the Scheme’s Director of Corps Welfare and Health Services, Mr Ayodele Omotade Folorunsho, while stating the essence of the Director General’s visit to the family said that NYSC has a tradition of presenting cheques to next-of-kins of Corps Members who lost their lives in the course of National Service.
Responding on behalf of the bereaved family, father to the late Corps Member, Mr Oluwafemi John Aina thanked the Director General and his team for identifying with his family in their moment of grief.
