Immediate past Governor of Benue State Samuel Ortom, his deputy and Secretary to the State Governemt were conspicuously absent at the inauguration of Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia.
The Governor or deputy was expected to take last salute but they were not sighted at the IBB Square venue of the event.
Rather, it was learnt that Ortom attended the inauguration of Rivers State new Governor Siminalayi “Sim” Fubara in Port Harcourt.
Ortom it would be noted handed over on Sunday 28 May,2023 to Rev. Fr. Alia with a huge debt of over 187 billion naira.
