The newly appointed Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC), Jennifer Adighije has said that her cardinal objective is to use her position and experience to enhance energy efficiency in the country, in line with the renewed agenda policy of the present administration.
Adighije who spoke in Abuja during the handing over ceremony said she was convinced that Nigeria has all what it takes both the technology and human capital to optimize the objective of the company which has the responsibility to execute and manage the nation’s Independent Power Projects (IDPs).
“It is a privilege to serve and I will not take it for granted. The mandate of the NDPC is crystal clear. Our mandate is to execute and manage our national IDP assets optimally.
“So my vision will be viewed around optimization anchored on three pillars which are; optimization of the performance of our assets to ensure that we are able to improve significantly our revenue earning potential for building significant financial capacity.
“The second will be optimizing our processes to ensure we are able to drive organizational and operational efficiency, and number which for me is most critical is how we would leverage technology and human capital to drive positive change in the organization and our external stakeholders in particular. This number three is very crucial to me because our human capital is our greatest asset; our human capital is the powerhouse that will drive sustainable positive change”.
