Palliatives: JISOP urges govt to consider vulnerable people

A strong platform of Civil Society Organizations, media and academia in Jigawa state known as Jigawa Social Protection Platform (JISOP), has advised governments at all levels to consider vulnerable groups not only party stalwarts.
The call was made in a statement signed by the Chairman of the platform, comrade Shuaibu Musa Kafingana in Dutse.
The statement, commended president Bola Ahmed Tinubu and governor Umar Namadi over the food assistance to over 28, 000 people in the state.
He said, the effort of the federal and Jigawa state government is commendable on the current distribution of parllaitive to about 30, 000 people in the state.
According to the statement, “the disbursement of the food items comes at a very good time when the less privileged people were in difficult condition of cost of food items while some were ravaged by flood disaster”.
