Pandemonium as businessman dies from COVID-19 complications in Kaduna

There was fear and pandemonium at Ahmad Pategi street, Unguwar Sarki, in Kaduna North Local Goverment Area following the death of a businessman, Alhaji Shehu Usman from coronavirus complications.
The street which is an affluent
neighborhood has notable people like Alhaji Umaru Mutallab, former Chairman of First Bank, Alhaji Dange Mahe, one time PDP senatorial aspirant from Sokoto State and Senator Shehu Sani as residents.
Fear griped the residents when the police and officials from the Nigeria Centre for Disease Contol (NCDC) took over control of the deceased house and the street.
Rumour started liggering around on the mission of the security personnels. However one of the bigwigs on the street called his family telling them of the development and the need for them to stay indoors.
“The deceased was said to have died of COVID-19 complications,” one of the deceased neighbours who wouldn’t like his name on print declared.
He said this afternoon, the police and officials from the Nigeria Centre for Disease Contol (NCDC) had taken over control of a house and the street.
The deceased, it was gathered died on Saturday at the Saint Gerald hospital, Kakuri from suspected COVID-19 complications.
It was gathered that the state government has already locked down the area, and restricted movement within the vicinity of the hospital.
