Pandemonium as gunmen snatch Edo NLC Chairman’s car in Benin

There was tension in Eheneden Street, off Ekenwan in Benin City, Edo State when gunmen allegedly snatched a Toyita Corolla car belonging to the State Chairman of Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Comrade Sunny Osayande on Saturday.
The hoodlums who were dressed in plain clothes, hijacked the car from the owner at gunpoint, after a sporadic gunshots, which forced residents of the area to scamper for safety.
A member of NLC in the State, Comrade Magdalene Odigie who announced the incident on her Facebook page on Sunday evening, appealed to “anyone with useful information of the whereabout of the ash Colour Toyota Avalon 2006 model Salon Car with Registration/plate number BEN 01 HK Classis No. 4TIBK36B75UO44666
Engine No.2GR-0045699 to the nearest Police station.
The Nigeria police, Edo State Command, SP. Chidi Nwabuzor, could not be reach as at the time of filing this report.
On Saturday, the Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, ordered the immediate mobilisation of all police operational assets and resources to bring an end to the wanton violence, killings, looting and destruction of public and private property, to reclaim the public space from hoodlums masquerading as #EndSARS protesters in some parts of the Country.
