Passengers delighted over new arrangements at Port Harcourt Airport

Passengers flying into the domestic wing of the Port Harcourt airport in Nigeria have express delight over the new arrangement carried out by the country’s airport management agency; the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) as parts of measures to improve comfort and seamless passengers and cargo facilitation at the facility.
FAAN said it has collapsed the hitherto makeshift tent at the new international terminal following the commencement of flight operations into the new wing having been commissioned by the President of Nigeria, Mr. Muhammad Buhari late 2018.
The agency image maker and General Manager for Corporate Communication, Mrs. Henrietta Yakubu disclosed that all domestic arrivals have now been moved to the old international terminal.
Also, the former local departure lounge at the facility will henceforth serve as local arrival hall, while the erstwhile international departure lounge has now been converted to local departure lounge.
The aerodrome in the oil rich city of Port Harcourt has seen increase in passengers and airline traffic in the last two months after the inauguration of the new international terminal by President Buhari.
Paul Amagbor, who frequently fly into the local toldairportscommentary.com that the latest arrangement has put some measures of confidence and pride in the heart of passengers who hitherto went through unpleasant experiences in order to connect their destinations across Nigeria.
“Beautiful arrangement, l commend the airport management authority for this, it kind of give us the confidence and assurances that we can travel more through this facility now” he said.
On a local flight from the terminal to Lagos, our correspondent observed that the improved changes top discussion among passengers many who described the initiative as laudable following the massive construction works that has taken place there.
